I felt so uncomfortable that I decided to leave after the first night.

the people staying there. I never felt so much more “off place” than there. it’s a great place if you wanna stay with a family. the bathroom had mould and when I wanted to use the tab in the bathroom I nearly had the whole tab in my hand. I don’t mind outdated - but this needs a re-Modeling. also - all the AC’s were in front of the windows on the side I was staying so it was impossible to sleep since they were so loud - it felt like sleeping next to a very old engine. I have been traveling SEA for 7 years now - I never ever changed a hotel after 1 night.

A once nice resort that has fallen on hard times. There are much better alternatives. Avoid.

The hotel has a very nice beach.

The hotel was probably very nice when it was built 30 or 40 years ago but the maintenance and upkeep have been minimal since then. The bedding was very old, pillow matted and very heavy in a way pillow should not be heavy. The blankets and sheets were more grey than white. The 19 inch Sony tv in my room was at least 30 years old. (A hat tip to Sony for making such a durable tv.) The beach was nice but there were very few chairs there and I was never able to find a free one during the day so I was actually able to get very little use of the beach. Fortunately this resort is located next to Paradise Ko Chang Resort and I had access to that beach and property which is excellent and well-maintained. Breakfast at Koh Chang Resort was terrible. The kitchen appears to be understaffed so and there were considerable periods in which little that was edible was available causing a needless wait in a bleak environment. As a westerner I realize Thai breakfasts might not be what I prefer but this food was really not worth waiting for. After the first morning I did not bother to go for breakfast.

needs a refurbishment and better management

what i like was the location, interesting location and directly on the beach !

we checked in our room and there was other guest in our room!!! then I went back to the reception and they showed us another room which I preferred but a minute after there was already new guest coming in that room. so we stayed in the first room at the end and they changed the little bulb while we were there (5pm) plus they cleaned the room again. and after that the staff at the reception never greeted us again for the 3 days we were there. the room was noisy was well from a pump upstairs

As I expected. I'm quite traveled so I'm use to small issues that always arise when travelling.

Typical thai breakfast but no cereal ????. Most of the food was warm and not hot unless you got there for 7am. Juice was very watery. Staff had lost the will to live except for one really nice lady.

In need of modernisation. Rooms old and smelly Totally different to what they look like in picture . Garden is full of old ornaments about 40 years old . I would imagine this was probably one of the first hotels decade's ago and it has had anything done to it for 50 years. Grossly over priced . Should be 600 baht per night. Booking .com liars on the star rating too Old smelly rooms are near road too so you get no sleep .

Staff were Very friendly, location only 10 meters from one of the most beautifull Beaches in Koh Chang. Sun beds and Sun unbrella with Towels free for hotel guests at the Beach.

You get a LOT of value for your money.

Location at the very nice beach, good breakfast.

The guy at the reception is not customer-friendly, and does not contribute to the success of the place. Bathrooms are old and water doesn't sink. Massage is poor at the beach.

Close to the beach

Not friendly receptionist. First room they gave us was like a spare room. No balconey as stated. Room smelt bad .Toilet leaked .After complained the second time they changed us to a bungalow. The room was small but smelt even worst then the first. The New Years Eve countdown party was boring. Food was average. No pride in the property. Rubbish on beach from party previous night and not cleaned for few days after. Would not stay again.

The location is quite nice next to the sea.

The resort is quite old and needs to be renovated. Our bathroom smelled of mould so that we can not really recommend it.

We could find better hotel at White sand beach, which is the most happening beach on the island, cheaper than this hotel. Even no tea/coffee maker was in the room. Room size also was quite small and bathroom was very poor look like a decade old design.

Food is good not expensive , perfect sand beach , chair on the beach, swimming pool, mostly staff are very nice And helpful. Everything is perfect for me except......

I don’t like the hallway in the building and elevator. It’s very dirty and look like a deserted house. And I saw a wasp i. The barcony because they open the door for long time until a wasp come to stay and have very big nest.

breakfast was nice and beach as well

lousy rooms in an old building. view to the mountain? yes it was but cannot see from the dirty balcony. spiders and and ants walking around the room. it looks like no one cleaned this room for ages. most of all the stuff was very unfriendly and not eficient.

excellent breakfast, comfy bungalow, good pool.

dirty beach, they don’t care. staff was little grumpy, no smile, in resort restaurant they don’t care if you finished drink, or you want order something else. beachfront bungalow was beachfront, but view was full of beach beds and full of people. no beach, no sea. resort staff has a party front of bungalows till night hours. no chance to sleep. closing hours of restaurant too early.

The location is good. Breakfast is good.

It's old and small. The elevator's broken. I need to walk to 4th floor. There are many room types in the hotel. The room I got is not similar to the picture from hotel. I think it's worth with the price I pay.

What was the highlight of Koh Chang Resort

The bungalow we stayed in was quiet, spacious and very clean- housekeeping arrived everyday. Reliable air con. The resort fronted Klong Prao beach and there were plenty of sun beds available. A beach bar serves drinks all day. The resort offered other leisure activities such as kayaking, fishing, snorkelling etc. A decent breakfast. Breakfast isn’t always cheap in Koh Chang so getting the choice and generous unlimited helpings prevented the need to leave the resort until dinner. The resort is good value for money. On a whole Koh Chang isn’t as cheap as you may hope so if you are looking for somewhere with great beach access and are on a budget do consider here. However; it is BASIC and the 2 resorts situated either side are much more luxurious in comparison- they are 4 x the price!

Although there was a great spread for breakfast it was a bit of a ‘free for all’. We discovered that the best time to go was actually towards the end (9:30 ish) when there were fewer guests. The hotel is very tired, the decor easily dates back to the 70s and hasn’t been updated. The grounds, despite being regularly maintained, need relandscaped. It is basic but it is however clean and again you get what you pay for. Some of staff could do with a course in customer service. No smiles from front desk on check in or check out. The waiting staff at breakfast were on their phones.
